Why Choose Multi-Position Rotary Actuators?
Harnessing the Power of Rotation
Here at Rotomation Inc., we design and manufacture advanced multi-position rotary actuators. These products help revolutionize automation across various industries. They provide a simple, robust way to execute more complex positioning tasks than the more common two position actuators in industrial applications.
Multi-Position Actuators
Today’s industries need fast, cost-effective, and reliable systems. We understand these needs and offer strong solutions that meet these demands.
Multi-position actuators provide back-and-forth rotation between three, four, or five positions in any sequence. All Rotomation multi-position actuators feature anodized aluminum bodies, one-piece heat-treated alloy steel pinion shafts, ball bearings, and stainless steel or black-oxide alloy steel hardware. The three-position version is the most common requirement but four and five-position units provide additional flexibility and are designed with value in mind, based on the same basic assembly.
They are designed to use one cylinder at a time (per position) to provide the propelling force, therefore they generate the same amount of torque as our single-rack rotary actuators.
Applications:
Multi-position rotary actuators open up possibilities for automation, including:
Multi-position actuators are often used to move a part into various positions so operators, robots, or other systems can access it from different angles. Some examples:
- Welding
- Painting
- Assembly
- Metal cutting
Other examples where multi-position actuators excel:
- Sorting
- Multi-position valve actuation
- Diverters
- Part/tool changers
Rotomation multi-position actuators are fully configurable to suit your application perfectly. Almost any combination of angles and clocking can be accommodated, as well as optional features such as rotation adjusters, magnetic sensors, various shaft configurations, and many more.
Our multi-position pneumatic actuators serve a wide range of customers, including automation, pharmaceuticals, automotive, semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, and food & beverage. These sectors greatly benefit from our innovative solutions specific to their needs by making sure our multi-position actuators are designed for durability in harsh environments and can be easily configured.
When you do business with Rotomation, you get specialized engineering services, personalized customer service, and targeted technical support. We’ll work closely with you to make sure we provide solutions that boost your efficiency and productivity by providing tech support to help in installation, operation and maintenance.
We also offer customized actuators to fit your specific needs. If you need simple changes to our standard units such as a shaft modification, we can easily make those adjustments. For applications that require different materials, like stainless steel, we can provide custom material actuators. If you need a unique design, we offer custom-designed actuators for OEMs. We build these from scratch to ensure they work perfectly for your needs to deliver top performance in different settings.
