S1 Stepping Actuator

Overview

The S1 is our smallest stepping actuator but it shares the same traits of its larger counterparts. The S1 provides unidirectional rotation in increments but unlike our X1 Indexing Actuator, it does not have positive stopping capability. The load will coast to a stop unless acted on by an external force. Unlike competitive products with add-on clutch housings, the S1 has a fully integrated clutch-bearing assembly for solid support of the load.

Specifications:

• Bore Size = 5/8"
• Standard Rotations = 15 Angles from 30 to 730 degrees
• Shaft Sizes = Standard: .375" dia., Options: None
• Torque at 80 psi = 12 in-lbs.
• Ball Bearing Ratings = Radial: 305 lbs., Axial: 76 lbs.
• Port Size = 10-32 or 1/8 NPT

S2 Stepping Actuator

Overview

The S2 stepping actuator is ideal for use in relatively small index tables with shot pins, conveyors, or as drives for roll feeders. The S2 provides unidirectional rotation in increments but unlike our X2 Indexing Actuator, it does not have positive stopping capability. The load will coast to a stop unless acted on by an external force. Unlike competitive products with add-on clutch housings, the S2 has a fully integrated clutch-bearing assembly for solid support of the load.

Specifications:

• Bore Size = 1"
• Standard Rotations = 15 Angles from 30 to 730 degrees
• Shaft Sizes = Standard: .500" dia., Options: D .500" dia.
• Torque at 80 psi = 39 in-lbs.
• Ball Bearing Ratings = Radial: 1,030 lbs., Axial: 257 lbs.
• Port Size = 1/8 NPT

The load will coast to a stop unless acted on by an external force. Unlike competitive products with add-on clutch housings, the S3 has a fully integrated clutch-bearing assembly for solid support of the load.

The S4 provides unidirectional rotation in increments but unlike our X4 Indexing Actuator, it does not have positive stopping capability. The load will coast to a stop unless acted on by an external force. Unlike competitive products with add-on clutch housings, the S4 has a fully integrated clutch-bearing assembly for solid support of the load. With over 10 times the maximum torque capacity of the S1 Stepping Actuator, the S4 is not only the largest single rack stepping actuator in our lineup but also a heavy hitter among its kind.
